Texas CattleWomen, what exactly is it? Have you ever heard of it before? Well, guess what, if you haven’t, now is the time! We are making waves across Texas and working to get new local chapters started in Texas. Texas CattleWomen isn’t just an organization that loves beef and promotes the beef industry. It is a sisterhood. It is a place to meet lifelong friends, not only from your local area but across the state and the nation. There is a place for everyone in Texas CattleWomen, there is only one requirement, that you love beef! We have been working hard to set up informational sessions. This past weekend, I was able to participate in one in San Angelo, Texas. I am thrilled to say that the ladies were excited about the idea of starting a chapter down there and have jumped on board. Concho Valley CattleWomen will be having their first informational meeting on September 29th. This meeting will hopefully lead to the start of their new chapter. Be sure to spread and share the word so that the Concho Valley CattleWomen can get off to a great start!
We have more informational sessions coming up in the following weeks. Georgetown, Stephenville, and Cleburne we are coming your way! Are you an at-large Texas CattleWoman member and interested in starting a chapter in your area? Are you new to Texas CattleWomen and have not joined yet but would like some more information? You have come to the right place! Reach out to Texas CattleWomen or Casey Matzke @ firstname.lastname@example.org and we can set up a meeting! They normally take place at a restaurant and are free of charge, except for your meal. However, we are always up for new ideas and places to go!
Be on the lookout for our events coming up this Fall. Women In Ranching will be having a ranch tour in October. We will also be hosting our Fall Convention in October as well! The Fall Convention will be held in Austin this year at the Texas Beef Council offices. If you have not been to a Fall Convention before, make plans to attend! This will be a great facility and a terrific way to meet CattleWomen across the state.
Are you attending Beef Cattle Short Course this year? Arriving in College Station Sunday Evening? Come out and join the Texas Aggie CattleWomen Steak Dinner and Dance. The event is held at the Hall of Champions at Kyle Field. Tickets are $45 a piece and doors open at 4:30, with dinner at 5:30. Wynn Williams will be the entertainment this year along with a great silent auction.
See you in Austin!
